Under limited supervision and working with a high degree of complexity, this individual provides support to the Executive Director by assisting in administering a 529 college savings plan. The individual will provide professional-level administrative support to management, which requires exercise of independent judgment and initiative, time management and understanding of the unit’s processes, agency policies and procedures. The individual will serve as administrative support of day-to-day program operations and will assume roles in office management, project management, community outreach and awareness to assist in growing the program. The Program Associate will work closely with and reports to the Executive Director.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

The following standards express the minimum background of education and experience as evidence of an applicant’s ability to qualify for the position. Any combination of education and experience, if evaluated as equivalent, may qualify an applicant for this specific position.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field from an accredited college or university AND at least one (1) year of related work experience.
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team.
  • Intermediate or higher skills with Microsoft Office software (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of general office equipment and telephone system.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to work cooperatively with others.
  • Demonstrated high degree of discretion dealing with confidential information.
  • Demonstrated administrative skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree AND more than one (1) year of related work experience.
  • Experience with social media.
  • Experience in financial area.

Path2College 529 Plan is Georgia’s official college savings plan and contributes to the Georgia Student Finance Commission’s mission by promoting families to begin saving for college expenses to have funds available to pay for college and help to reduce student debt.

Salary: $40,000.00 to $45,000.00 /year
