Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Sociology or another related social services field preferred, but must obtain a bachelor's degree in Social Work, Sociology or another related social services field not later than five years after the date employment with the agency commences.
Receives CORE training, both classroom style and “hands on”. Participates in worker shadowing, as well as casework services to families. Attends court hearings and learns to prepare for necessary court involvement. Becomes familiar with all areas of child and family development and educates parents regarding these areas. Provides intensive casework services to parents and to their children who are deemed to be at risk of abuse, neglect and/or dependency. Will be placed in emergency services, ongoing services, resource services and will complete all duties of those positions as outlined in their individual job descriptions and as deemed appropriate by the supervisor.
