THIS IS A TEMPORARY/SEASONAL POSITION
Salary Range: $15.00 Hourly
Purpose of Classification:
The purpose of this job is to provide payroll processing assistance for the Camp Best Friends summer season. Duties include but are not limited to: Working cooperatively with administration and camp staff, provide support to the City of Atlanta Human Resources team working with the Office of Recreation, input payroll data, provide superior customer service, abide by organizational policy and procedures,
Ensure the compliance of organizational policies and procedures.
Process new hire and volunteer background checks.
Coordinate drug screening.
Coordinate delivery of all required employment documentation.
Explain new hire processes and ensure compliance.
Planning and Organizing:
Plans and implements educational, recreational and social enrichment activities for campers.
Familiarizes with camp lesson plans and implements lessons.
Attends program meetings designated by supervisor.
High school diploma or GED required;
Admittance letter into a post-secondary program or track OR some college attendance (relevant work experience can be substituted)
Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience.
One year experience working in administrative support or three (3) summers.
Authorization of a background check for criminal and child protective findings.
Must pass a drug screening.

Camp Best Friends Traditional & Specialty Camp location dates are June 4 – July 20, 2018; hours are 7:30 am – 6:00 pm.
Work location: Harris Towers (Downtown Atlanta)
