The intended function of this Research Scientist position is to work in a multidisciplinary research tumor immunology team, focused on scientific projects involving tumor tissue and circulating biomarker analysis for cancer immunoprofiling studies. The research scientist will develop scientific projects, data management, data analysis and interpretation, as well as scientific communication of the findings in meetings and peer review journals. Expertise in basic cellular and molecular assays is required for this position. Experience in protein detection assays is preferred.

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
Develop and perform scientific research projects in the area of cancer immunoprofiling and analysis of tumor associated myeloid cells. Provide technical expertise in cellular immunoprofiling studies and data analysis. Assays include but are not limited to: flow cytometry, ELISPOT, primary cell culturing and expansion, Luminex and MSD platforms for circulating factors, PCR and library preparation. Perform handling, processing, and contamination-free culture of human tumor and immune cells from tumor specimen of patients enrolled on clinical trials.
1. Create scientific content for cellular immunoprofiling analysis protocols involving human tissue specimens, and respond to contingencies, revisions, etc. as needed.
2. Assist the PI in data analysis, preparation of presentation slides and potentially in the preparation of manuscripts and grant applications.
3. Participates and presents data in weekly meetings and generates reports.
4. Maintains good, detailed experimental records.
Laboratory Research Coordination
Assist the PI to coordinate the laboratory research activities and daily lab research operation. Be willing to work in a team environment dedicated to high standards and integrity. Capable of planning and executing tasks in an organized manner in a busy lab environment.

PhD in one of the natural sciences or related field or Medical degree With PhD, no experience required. With Medical degree, two years of experience in experimental or scientific work.
