We’re looking for someone who understands and loves the power of the written word. As our Content Marketing Coordinator, you will work directly with our Marketing Operations Manager to create engaging content for a variety of marketing channels including digital, print, video, social media, etc. The right person will be able to create remarkable content that engages, differentiates, builds the brand, and positions Baker Electric Home Energy as Southern California’s market leader. Be prepared to send along your most compelling written content samples.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Create amazing content for digital and print applications like email, advertising, web, blogs, social media, etc.
Support marketing team with content designed for integrated marketing programs.
Closely monitor print/online and social media channels to track relevant industry conversations that support our business and promote the Baker brand.
Ensure all content is brand-consistent in terms of positioning, style, quality, accuracy, and tone of voice, and optimized for SEO and user experience.
Interview customers and partners for the creation case study/testimonials.
Keep current on industry news and local happenings and research appropriate topics for home energy relevant blogs.
Implement a strategic social media plan using Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest.
Maintain an editorial calendar to schedule blog posts, web articles, and social media content.
Help promote ongoing adoption of social media use within company by alerting teams about opportunities for engagement and providing action ideas / direction.
Developing standards, systems and best practices for content creation, curation, repurposing and promotion.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL – EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS / ABILITIES:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or related field.
At least 3 years of writing and editing experience across a wide variety of media.
The ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and collaborative work environment.
Must have exceptional writing skills with ability to develop a variety of content.
Strong organizational and planning skills with extreme attention to detail.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects.
Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task and work effectively within a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work as part of a team, share ideas and accept constructive review.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaborate well across teams.
Understanding of using social media and online communities as part of business.
Familiarity with marketing automation, Drupal, Salesforce, Adobe Creative Suite, SEO best practices a plus.
Experience in the home energy industry a plus.
