Responsibilities:
CNC Machinist, with 10+ years Mill & Lathe experience with a Machine Shop
- Setup and operate multi-axis CNC lathes
- Machine tooling and products according to supplied drawings
- Ability to position, secure, and align holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials into machines.
- Machine, deburr, load, clean, and/or re-work parts
- Provide shop support as needed – particularly to CNC Operators
- Keep CNC machines running at all times
- Able to read, write, and speak in standard English
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Maintain CNC machinery work area
- Candidates must be available to work overtime and Saturdays
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience operating CNC lathe machines in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and engineering drawings
- Familiarity with DMG MORI, OKUMA, DOOSAN, Fanuc controls is preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments effectively
- Knowledge of plastics injection molding is a plus
- Forklift certification is a plus
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles is a plus
