Overview
This position leads US, Japan, EU, Korea Customer Quality Engineers teams, and the global QMS team and functions. Managing an US local and global team, the Director of Quality will be expected to communicate and represents as the company’s Quality Champion in senior level customer meetings and also in driving internal and supplier’s continuous improvement strategies and efforts.
Primary Responsibilities

Overall responsibility for managing US Quality team and functions, consisting of Quality Management System (QMS) as well as US and global Customer Quality Engineers (CQE) teams in Europe, Japan, and Korea.

Effectively manage QA team and functions of QMS, customer audits, CQE team for pre-sales and post-sales Quality supports.

Effectively translate customer QA requirements into systematic and efficient continuous improvement activities across different engineering and sub-con management groups.

Lead customer Quality contracts and specs review, to refine Quality standards baselines and negotiate reasonable Quality terms to minimize business risks.

Represent global Quality with customers at senior level meetings, in collaboration with cross-functional teams, especially the engineering and production teams in Asia/China, and with suppliers on quality improvement and issues resolutions.

Proactively leads Quality Reviews on Quality KPI Metrics, devise and delegate continuous improvement activities.

Work with and influence Product Line and Engineering leaders including Automotive, Industrial and Data Center computing etc. for Quality related process improvements, especially in DFT, DFM, FMEA, and APQP etc.

Continuously improve Quality management practice for all product families (ICs and Modules etc.) by studying industry benchmarks, customer requirements, new product design and development, and define the metrics to assess performance against standards required.

Manage Quality KPIs and analytical reporting for monitoring process effectiveness and to help Executive and Managers to make sound product Quality decisions.

Improve Reliability and FA data analysis for Product Quality enhancement opportunities

Well manage and develop QA team to scale up, to create best-in-class environment for sustainable growth.
Qualifications

BS or Msc degree in Electric Engineering or similar fields,
-
15+ years of experience in semiconductor industry in Quality Assurance in semiconductor, with 7+ years in leadership positions.

Proven experience of leading a global QA organization, skilled in managing CQE and QMS.

In depth knowledge of semiconductor ICs development and production process,

Strong knowledge of Automotive Quality standards

Expertise in implementing and communicating Quality Assurance investigations, and process improvements.

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

Strong organizational skills and ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and ambiguity.

Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Pay is based on market location and may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education and other job-related reasons. The base salary range for this position in Washington is $175,000 - $215,000.
Pay is based on market location and may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education and other job-related reasons. The base salary range for this position in California is $180,000 - $220,000.
