The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking an entry-level Manufacturing Engineer (Level 1) to support the production of the Chinook and Osprey. This position will support the continued productivity and growth of Vertical Lift programs and ensure delivery of high quality products to our customers.
Duties as an Assembly & Integration Manufacturing Engineer will include (but are not limited to):
Supports the development and implementation of production and tooling methodologies
Participates as a member of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) to support the integration of technical solutions across multiple disciplines
Supports the development, identification and implementation of conceptual designs and maintenance of the program architecture for build
Participates in the implementation of manufacturing plans. Investigates technical problems
Participates in the implementation of Lean principles and technologies Interfaces with IPTs and internal customers to develop products, skills, knowledge and experience
The Boeing Plant in Ridley Park, PA, is home to the V-22 Osprey Tiltrotor and the H-47 Chinook Helicopter. These aircraft are designed, tested, and manufactured at the site. In addition, the Ridley Park site hosts an Enterprise Support group which provides design and analysis of structural, mechanical, and electrical systems for Boeing Commercial Aircraft and Military Derivatives. Boeing employs approximately 5,000 people at the site. The plant is situated along the Delaware River approximately 10 miles southwest of Philadelphia, and 2 miles from the international airport.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):
Bachelor’s of Science degree or higher
College coursework and / or work experience in manufacturing processes
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):
Previous internship experience a PLUS
Ability to work flexible hours, overtime and occasional weekends when necessary to support factory and operations activities
Typical Education / Experience:
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
