A dynamic and busy specialty medical practice is seeking a full-time, team oriented Licensed Clinical Psychologist who is professional, knowledgeable and motivated, to be an integral member of an interdisciplinary chronic pain functional restoration program, behavioral medicine clinic, and pain management practice.
Ideally, a clinician in this position will be well-versed in evidence-based practices of individual and group therapy, in screening and assessment, DSM diagnosis, milieu therapy, and brief intervention. Experience in an interdisciplinary behavioral health setting and chronic pain patients is a plus. The role requires flexibility and familiarity with principles of cognitive-behavioral strategies, group therapy and other evidence-based clinical approaches. Overall success in this position will require high level of organizational skills, and a high degree of interpersonal/cultural competence with both staff and patients.
RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
· Individual, group, family, and milieu therapy in a Chronic Pain Program
· Psychological assessment for a Chronic Pain Program and outpatient psychology services
· Working with an inter-disciplinary team of psychotherapists, physical therapists, physicians, wellness instructors, nutritionists and patient care coordinators
· Conducting psychological assessment and individual, group, family, and milieu therapy
· Providing behavioral interventions with patients
· Facilitate process-oriented groups and groups on wellness, mindfulness, and Chronic Pain
· Perform interventions, lectures and family meetings related to the Chronic Pain Program
· Initiate and maintain a variety of progress notes, reports and other required documentation
· Administer, score and interpret a variety of psychological tests
· Develop and provide in-service trainings to professional and support staff
· Identify and evaluate normal and abnormal behavior tendencies, diagnose, classify and report an appropriate prognosis
· Prepare and implement an effective psychological treatment plan
· Lead and participate in a multi-disciplinary treatment team
REQUIREMENTS:
· Spanish speaking desirable but not required
· Possession of a valid Psychologist license issued by the State of California
SKILLS:
· Serves as a key member of the primary care team
· Plan and implement appropriate and effective treatment methods
· Communicate effectively in both oral and written form
· Conduct effective and appropriate individual and group psycho-education and psychotherapy
· Train others at various levels of expertise in the concepts and theories of the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness
· Prepare and present a variety of reports of both professional and administrative nature
· Establish and maintain effective work relationships with the administrative staff and treatment team

COMPENSATION:
DOE. Competitive Package - Salary range $110K-$170K/year
