Project Engineering Coordinator

Summary of Position

The Project Engineering Coordinator is primarily responsible to maintain timely, accurate status information on projects and associated activities for multiple business lines. The position is the key liaison between the BTFM Engineering Team and client companies to include Ahold A&E. The Project Engineering Coordinator will interact daily with client contacts, external vendors and internal teams to monitor project activity and proactively address issues.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensure real-time accuracy of Egnyte tracking software to include project awards, timelines, assignments, budgets and daily maintenance
  • Meet with the Ahold A&E coordinator twice a week to review distributed plans and release dates; makes updates to Egnyte to reflect revisions
  • Log projects, assignments and client defined deadlines
  • Link budget files to Egnyte for update
  • Act as a central point of distribution for all plans, specs & requisitions for Engineering Team and contracted engineers to include providing design updates to outside architects and engineers
  • Monitor Engineering Team deliverables against client defined timelines and Egnyte; proactively identify and address or escalate issues
  • Track redline dates and meetings to confirm all plans are reviewed prior to scheduled dates
  • Request construction schedules from Ahold project managers and update Egnyte as required
  • Track project awards and equipment requisitions and update Egnyte
  • Prepare required reports and lead bi-weekly Engineering Team project meeting
  • Complete project closeout with refrigeration vendors
  • Act as expert on the Egnyte software and usage; train users on software and established practices
  • Ability to travel up to 10%

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
  • 1-3 years’ relevant engineering experience
  • Demonstrated experience with MS Office and shared workflow technology (SharePoint, iCloud)
  • Demonstrated experience AutoCAD, 2D design and BIM software
  • Must be highly organized with an ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Previous experience interacting with client companies
  • Previous experience with complex databases preferred
