Building - Facility Maintenance Technician


Job Description

Shrader Tire & Oil (STO) is looking for a Building / Facility Maintenance Technician! This position will be based out of the Toledo headquarters, but there is the potential to travel to one of our other facilities in Ohio, Indiana or Michigan or to one of our customers? sites. Hours will be Monday through Friday and no weekends. Hourly rate based on experience!

This individual will perform day-to-day maintenance functions which may include basic electrical, plumbing, paint, drywall, carpentry and other manual repairs as needed. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Building / Facility Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:
Responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing of all Shrader Tire & Oil equipment and facilities. Either at a Shrader Tire & Oil facility or one of our customers.
Diagnose equipment or facility problems and communicate issues with department manager.
Effectively set up proper Lube, or DEF equipment at new or existing customer site.
Maintain spare part inventory
Mechanical/Electrical Troubleshooting
Strong aptitude to use a variety of different tools needed to effectively complete the equipment set up and job responsibilities.
Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties
Repair maintain facilities and complete projects Driver's License with good driving record
High School Diploma or GED
Must be able to occasionally lift and install 75lb reels in various locations
Minimum of 1-year experience in electrical or plumbing systems
Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude.
Minimum of 1-year experience completing work orders
Possess computer skills sufficient to create, update, and edit simple spreadsheets and word processing documents, compose and send email and must be able to use basic task management programs
Good physical and strength to perform physical demands of the position
Working knowledge of electrical components and voltages.
Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check

Preferred Qualifications:
General maintenance or general labor experience
Have some knowledge of reading schematics and exploded drawings
General maintenance or general labor experience
