Viracor Eurofins is searching for a BioPharma Marketing Manager in Lee’s Summit, MO.
This is a Full Time position. Schedule is Monday – Friday, 8:00AM – 5:00PM, with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Lee’s Summit, Missouri are encouraged to apply.
Basic Function and Scope of Responsibility:
The BioPharma Marketing Manager reports to the Director of Marketing and works collaboratively with the General Manager of BioPharma and the business development team to drive growth and exceed the commercial goals of Viracor’s BioPharma business unit. The BioPharma Marketing Manager is responsible for understanding the market, helping to define strategy and communicating Viracor’s unique value proposition to increase brand awareness and generate leads through the development and management of effective marketing plans. As a member of the marketing team, the BioPharma Marketing Manager will support Viracor’s vision, brand and key strategies, advancing the Company’s efforts to improve more patient lives. The BioPharma Marketing Manager also collaborates with colleagues from other Eurofins BioPharma laboratories, to position Eurofins BioPharmaceutical Services as the largest, wholly-owned network of BioPharma- dedicated laboratories in the world, delivering compelling value for our clients.
Essential Job Duties:
Develops and executes marketing strategy and communication plans, programs and campaigns, both short and long range, to create client demand and achieve organizational objectives within budget and on time.
Uses data to inform strategy and demonstrate ROI.
Works closely with the General Manager of BioPharma, research & development, sales and other operational groups to drive product (test) and service conceptualization, define market requirements and develop commercialization strategies to meet revenue growth goals and deliver intended value proposition.
Understands the BioPharmaceutical industry and how Viracor’s tests and services help clients advance phase I through IV clinical trials; creates impactful messaging and positioning of Viracor’s BioPharma services.
Monitors, researches and develops written reports on industry trends, client needs, and competitive opportunities; provides insights, recommendations and strategy to support the Company’s distinctive competence and unique advantages.
Partners with sales, scientific and client services teams and leadership to build and improve processes and assess targets for marketing, communication and training to ensure product positioning is effectively delivered and revenue goals are met.
Develops content and/or creative strategy for, and oversees or contributes to production of integrated marketing deliverables including events, web, traditional and social media, print and digital communications.
Informs brand strategy and related execution to ensure we are effectively communicating and delivering our story and value proposition.
Tracks, measures and is accountable for the success of marketing programs and deliverables, with ability to be agile and make adjustments as/if needed to achieve goals.
Establishes a rigorous metrics-based approach for determining impact of marketing activities on increasing Viracor revenue, brand strength, product awareness and expanding our customer base. Uses well-defined goals and metrics to assess success, guide and refine sales and marketing campaigns.
Oversees the successful expansion of lead generation strategies for biopharmaceutical accounts and integration with sales team for conversion of new customers in support of Viracor revenue growth. Implements metrics that allow measurement of impact and define future activity.
Uses marketing automation, our preferred CRM tool and SEO software to accelerate commercial success.
Manages or oversees relationships and contracts with third-parties, vendors and suppliers.
Constructs and manages budget and expenses related to plans, programs and campaigns including analysis and reporting for management.
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Medical Technology or Microbiology or closely related field
5+ years’ of relevant experience in marketing, communications, sales or related field; preferably with experience in the laboratory/diagnostic or BioPharmaceutical/Clinical Trials industry
Knowledge of the Biopharmaceutical industry and trends within the pharma market
Proficient analytical decision-making, presentation and organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others and lead groups
Proven ability to manage and execute projects and report on ROI
Goal-oriented, with excellent project and time management and organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to interact effectively and work efficiently with people at all levels in an organization
