Our team is looking for you, an experienced Principal Data Science Manager, to become a leader in Azure CXP and build our data science team. As you grow the existing team through hiring and talent development, you will work with Azure CXP Program Managers and Software Engineers as well as other data science teams to define and deliver critical, customer-focused data models, forecasting and predictive analytics that drive our Azure customer programs and integrate into our tools and end-to-end solutions.
Lead and grow a business and customer focused data science team
Develop the analytics to best drive customer insights across the Azure business, including onboarding, support, reliability, social and community
Partner with Software Engineers and Program Managers to deliver end-to-end solutions at scale that increase automation, increase customer satisfaction and reduce costs
Lead a team of data scientists to design, prototype, implement and test descriptive and predictive analytics models
Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and explore opportunities for the application of machine learning and predictive analysis
Provide insights to senior management to support strategic decision-making, preparing and delivering insights and recommendations based on analyses
Continue the development of a collaborative, transparent and growth-minded team culture
Help further drive our culture of learning through fostering exploration and discovery
Attract and develop high quality data science talent
Communicate well with technical and non-technical audiences and contributing modeling expertise as a thought leader
Demonstrated ability to build and lead a great data science team
Ability to break down complex business and technical problems into opportunities for analytical study
Extensive knowledge and experience in data science, including expertise in one or more of: machine learning, big data/data mining, statistics, business/customer intelligence, data modeling, databases, data warehousing, or a similar field.

Thrive in fast paced, agile environments
Strong communications and presentation skills
Ability to work across teams, executives and subject matter experts to drive results
10+ years of experience in a Data Science or Data Analytics role
5+ years of People Management experience
Master’s degree or higher required; emphasis in Computer science, Data Science or Statistics strongly preferred
Experience using at least one of the following technologies: R, Python, AzureML, CNTK, SAS, SPSS
