Child Social Worker
We are currently accepting applications for Licensed Social Workers in the Behavioral Health Department at Walter Reed Naval Military Medical Center, Bethesda, MD.
Navy hospital has been fully integrated with the Army and Air-force to deliver world-class health care to our nation's heroes and their beneficiaries! The role of the LCSW is oriented very heavily toward psychometric assessments as well as individual and group Will work closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, other clinical social workers and psychiatric nurse practitioners. Teaching facility may interact with residence and interns.

Complete patient assessment, evaluation and develop course of treatment with problems of personality, emotional adjustment, or mental illness and perform psychotherapy with patients, either through individual sessions or through group therapy sessions.
Conduct psychosocial evaluations and provides therapeutic interventions including crisis counseling to individuals, groups and families as needed to facilitate behavioral health clinical care management and optimize care.
Provide services to high-risk populations including service members pending medical discharge due to physical and/or behavioral health injuries/illnesses, service members who were wounded as a result of their military duties, and the families of service members killed in action.
Minimum 2 years experience as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), working with children, adolesences, and group therapy.
Current, valid professional license (LCSW) from any US jurisdiction.
Basic Life Support (BLS) from approved American Heart Association.
Experience with: PTSD, Depression, Behavioral issues, attachment Disorders, Bipolar Disorder, and Anger Management.
