Job Title: Chief Executive Officer
Reports To: Board of Directors
Classification: Exempt; Regular Full-time
Life Choices of Yakima is a non-profit, Christ-centered ministry.
Job Purpose
The Chief Executive Officer has full responsibility for the pregnancy medical center, which includes the implementation of the policies and procedures approved by the board of directors within the parameters of the budget. The primary areas of responsibility are administrative, donor development, and community relations/public relations. In addition, the Chief Executive Officer oversees the Think Twice Healthy Relationships program under the Title V SRAE federal grant, ensuring compliance and fiduciary integrity. The Executive represents the ministry of Life Choices in the community and leads as an example of Christ in actions and words.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Culture Work

· Maintain a high level of integrity in modeling and promoting LCY’s Christian culture, core values, policies, and procedures.
· Minister to our clients, showing them kindness and grace.
2. Team Work
· Work as a member of the executive leadership team to solve organizational problems and accomplish shared goals in pursuit of strategic priorities.
· Work with the board of directors to implement the goals and objectives of the ministry.
3. Direct Work
· Ensure delivery of LCY outcomes through client interactions that feel safe, dignified, and create the maximum opportunity for spiritual development as they measurably move men and women toward choosing abundant life for their baby.
· Teach, train, inspire, coach and motivate the team to include staff, volunteers and board members.
· Effectively communicate the organization's mission and activities to various stakeholders.
· Ensure adherence of the organization’s daily activities and long-term plans to established policies and legal guidelines.
· Drafting organizational policies and philosophies.
· Develop a highly effective team of employees and volunteers working in an environment marked by the Life Choices core values and HR best practices.
· Lead Life Choices development and implementation of annual and multi-year strategic and financial planning that conforms to best practices and supports the fulfillment and growth of LCY objectives.
· Lead development and donor relations activities that grow LCY’s financial capacities and its reputation in the community.
· Lead the annual budgeting process including creating variance reports to monitor progress against the budget at the organizational and program/project level
· Ensure that record keeping of LCY’s activities, finances, and outcomes fully meet AAAHC and other appropriate standards.
· Ensure the assets of LCY are appropriately maintained and protected against risk.
· Act as the public speaker and public relations representative of the company in ways that strengthen its profile.
· Devise remedial actions for any identified issues and conduct crisis management when necessary.
· Ensure full compliance with established governing policy, and effectively support the Board in its work, its Christian culture, and its ongoing development of governing excellence.
· Ensure full compliance and oversight of Title V SRAE federal grant.
· Oversee and manage the timely submission of grants, including working with the Chief Executive Officer, Fund Development Director, Programs managers, and other staff to complete the narrative, while preparing budgets and related documents for applications
· Human Resource Management and ensure compliance of all federal state and local requirements.
· Oversee the timely implementation of payroll and benefits.
· Regularly review and assess payroll, benefits, and personnel policies to promote equity and fairness.
· Maintain and update the Employee Handbook and Policy and Procedures.
· Manage the contracts process; ensure that contracts are appropriate with all external partners, vendors and contractors.
· Overseeing all technology operations and evaluating them against compliance standards.
· Analyzing the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs.
· Identify the need for upgrades, configurations or new systems and report to upper management.
· Inspect the use of technological equipment and software to ensure functionality and efficiency.
· Other duties as assigned by the Board of Directors in support of LCY’s mission, vision, and values.

Qualifications
- Recognized history of leadership in Christian ministry, preferably in Pregnancy Center work or another life affirming-related ministry.
- Must be a person of Christian Faith with an active commitment to continued spiritual and professional growth.
- Prior leadership of a non-profit organization with an operating budget of at least $500,000.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in related field preferred. Related experience can be considered in lieu of degree.
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft 365; including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Basic computer hardware and software skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, high level of professionalism, and the ability to maintain confidentiality required.
- Ability to work independently under the pressure of deadlines, interruptions and changing priorities while maintaining a strong attention to detail. Reliable, resourceful, flexible.
- Ability to work alongside and/or supervise individuals representing a variety of backgrounds.
- Demonstrated personal and work ethic reflecting LCY’s Core Values.
Working Conditions
The primary duties of this position are performed in a well-lighted, temperature-controlled environment. The noise level in the environment is usually quiet to moderate. Some travel to locations in the surrounding community is required. It may also be required to be outdoors in inclement weather and work irregular hours.

The Chief Executive Officer will be evaluated after 90 days, and then on an annual basis by the Board of Directors.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $78,000.00 - $98,000.00 per year
