Description:Lockheed Martin Corp. seeks a Project Engineer to coordinate military navigation technical exchanges between the United Kingdom and United States. Develop strategies for accomplishment and reporting on key studies, including authorized data requirements for specific procurement projects. Identify, analyze and present program risks and opportunities in connection with the manufacturing and installation of electrical components for military use. Prepare and coordinate engineering plans and schedules based upon business requirements and operational schedules. Formulate and recommend corrective action measures, such as schedule revisions, manpower adjustments, fund allocations, and work requirements. Coordinate customer interface for successful project completion. Interface daily with US DoD and UK MoD customers and external program stakeholders both within government and industry partners.
Position requires a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Engineering, Mathematics, or a related STEM field, and 5 years of experience with providing technical guidance on the technical and operational impacts of emergent defects and technological upgrades on deployed submarine navigation systems, including the TRIDENT navigation subsystem. Experience must include a minimum of: 5 years of experience with conducting equipment design meetings and validation testing; 5 years of experience with identifying and developing solutions for planning shortfalls involving navigation systems; 5 years for experience with reviewing program schedules and liaising with key stakeholders to eliminate potential conflicts; 5 years of experience with determining, monitoring, and reviewing costs, operational budgets, and schedules, and manpower requirements; and 1 year of experience with sales agreement protocols for sharing of sensitive technical information between the US and UK, as well as corporate export control practices. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable.
