Through innovation in technology and financing, our goal is to optimize the relationships between energy providers and consumers.
As Senior Utility Program Manager, you will have responsibilities to build, execute, and measure performance of Stem’s utility contracts and grid services programs. This effort includes project planning, portfolio analysis, contract compliance, risk assessment, reporting, and settlement. You must demonstrate a blend of business, technical, and executional expertise. You will be comfortable working with all departments within the company from Sales to Product Development and Analytics, along with external utility partners. You will report to the Director of Grid Services.
Your responsibilities will include:
Document program requirements and delivery timelines and identify solution gaps
Analyze program risk and design risk mitigation strategies
Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to develop and manage program implementation plans
Establish scalable processes for execution on existing utility contracts
Track and coordinate contract compliance efforts across multiple business units
Communicate changes/issues and implement solutions in order to ensure that the project stays on target
Own communication strategies to provide visibility at all levels across the organization
Report performance and revenue for utility programs
Write and perform User Acceptance Testing for new program functionality
Implement quality standards, review project deliverables, and communicate variances accordingly
Support business development and utility sales efforts
Project and program management, with ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent time management, interpersonal communication, decision-making, and organizational skills
Highly proficient in and able to quickly master new software tools, such as MS Office including Excel, JIRA, Confluence, and Salesforce.
Enthusiasm for working in a fast paced, hard-charging, collaborative environment
Excellent written, verbal, and team collaboration skills
Experience in the energy and utility industry, preferably in demand response or customer programs
Experience in a diverse, multi-stakeholder environment and used to communicating across functional teams and levels.
Experience in project management across software, hardware and firmware and testing components, a plus
Experience in quality assurance methods and test, a plus.
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical or business discipline preferred
5+ years of relevant experience
