Security Systems Administrator
Job Description Summary
The Security Systems Administrator supports the physical security systems including cameras, badging, intercoms, video recorders, and other security software/hardware. The employee will report to the Director of Security.
Job Description
Provide technical support for both hardware and software as it relates to physical security systems.
Manage the configuration and operation of Lenel, Prism and Milestone hardware and software.
Monitor multiple systems daily and respond immediately to security or usability concerns
Create and verify backups of data
Create and manage technical standards and other documentation including updates as hardware and software changes, respond to and resolve help desk requests
Upgrade systems and processes as required for enhanced functionality and security issue resolution
Administrate infrastructure, databases, software, and other processes
Review application logs as needed
Manage proof of concept initiatives with vendors to ensure proper functionality when new equipment/software enters production
Liaise with other internal IT professionals including IT security to ensure compliance and troubleshoot as necessary.
Assist with technical aspects of projects relating to physical security
Provide guidance to security directors on opportunities for improvement.
Ability to use technology such as; smart phones, tablets, computers, web-based applications, etc.
Complete all required Cushman & Wakefield Safety Training as scheduled annually. (New employees shall meet the immediate training requirements as set forth at time of hiring.
Establish positive working relationships with building tenants, security vendors, Police, Fire Department and emergency management. Liaise with appropriate law enforcement, intelligence, and threat assessment agencies to identify, quantify and assess security threats to the buildings and to provide recommendations to ownership regarding suitable mitigation measures.
