Welbornhenson is currently seeking an experienced Production Team Leader/Supervisor/Shop Foreman who is also an experienced millwork assembler & woodworker.
Our shop near downtown Atlanta produces custom architectural millwork for commercial projects. We are AWI certified and maintain the highest standards in our work. Our projects are varied – everything from medical facilities, institutional and fine dining concepts, to senior communities, hotels & apartment buildings.
What you will be doing:
As a Production Team Leader, you will be managing the day-to-day Production department staff of about 12 people. You will be hands-on, handling the assembly, machining & finishing of our projects. You will bring the highest level of professionalism and quality of work to every project you and your team undertakes.

Essential Duties and Requirements:
- Manage current work-in-process (WIP), reviewing and assigning activities such that the whole shop staff is deployed and operating within their respective departments in the most efficient and logical manner
- Manage the Production department to meet production goals
- Make sure that projects are completed right the first time
- Continuously monitor the department’s progress to optimize the efficiency of projects
- Build items as directed by the Plant Manager and engineering department
- Responsible for employee development & training
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude in all interactions and maintain excellent service throughout completion
- Problem-solve issues arising in the shop to help complete tasks in a timely manner
- Interact positively and immediately with management to keep abreast of progress and/or issues
- Maintain Production tools and work environment in a safe and clean way
- Respect the shop as if it were your own
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand for the full shift
Experience and Training:
- Five years of custom woodwork, millwork, casework and cabinet making experience required.
- Experience with laminate materials and solid surface is preferred
- Knowledge of general safety practices or OSHA training
- Proficient with and able to train others in woodworking power tools & hand tools
- Able to read shop drawings and interpret them with minimal guidance
- Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
- Must be dependable
- Knowledge of basic mathematics
Shop hours are Mon-Th 7:00-4:45, Fri 7:00-11:00 + overtime hours as needed, Occasional weekend hours.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
