An IT Systems Administrator at VARIDESK is a person who can thrive in a fast-paced and fluid IT environment. This person has a strong background in Active Directory user, group, and device management, software deployment, update management, security policy, and maintaining system documentation. Additionally, this person will be responsible for maintaining excellent relations with SaaS providers and infrastructure contractors. The IT Systems Administrator greatly contributes to the overall success of the IT department by demonstrating expertise in all areas of responsibility while also recommending and embracing new systems and technologies.


Act as a point of escalation on the IT team
Analyze system logs and identify potential issues with computer systems and network infrastructure.
Apply OS and software updates, patches, and configuration changes
Develop and enforce security policy; perform audits to ensure compliance
Develop, maintain, and test failover and disaster recovery procedures
Manage on-prem AD and Azure AD environments, objects contained within, and connections to other services
Manage Office 365 environment and related applications
Manage SSO provider and connected applications
Work directly with vendors and service providers for infrastructure changes and expansions
Provide excellent technical assistance and troubleshoot issues in a Windows and Mac environment
Setup and support various desktop IT equipment—including but not limited to desktops, laptops, peripherals
Manage tickets in a help desk ticketing system
Document within the ticketing system actions taken to resolve technical issues
Maintain knowledgebase and other internal documentation for IT systems
Provide updates on IT-related projects within a project management solution

Minimum 5 years relevant work experience
Thorough understanding of standards such as DNS, SSL, DHCP, RTP, etc.
Hardware systems design and implementation, redundancy and testing failover, etc.
Expertise with Active Directory, Azure AD, Office 365 app administration, Exchange
Experience with managing network hardware such as switches, WAPs, and firewalls
Virtual call center / voip experience a plus
Bachelor's degree and 2+ years’ experience in IT systems administration
