Job Overview:
This is NOT an Entry Level position. We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to perform our day-to-day accounting and finance requirements. Confidentiality, excellent organizational skills and accuracy are important qualifications for this position, as well as good customer relations and the ability to communicate clearly. The ideal candidate for this position is skilled at multitasking, reliable and is committed to consistently meeting deadlines. In order to be successful in this role the candidate must have prior experience working for companies with revenue ranging from $15 million and above and employee size of 100 or more.
Bookkeeper Responsibilities
  • Balance and maintain accurate ledgers
  • Coordinate bank deposits
  • Pay vendor invoices and track account balances
  • Allocate cash receipts and maintain an accurate sub ledger for accounts receivable
  • Post payroll journals and develop reports on project costing
  • Process monthly travel and expense reports
  • Preparation of monthly management reports
  • Enhance efficiency by automating manual processes
  • Ad hoc reporting as needed
  • Assistance in modeling financial requirements for new programs
  • Comply with government reporting requirements, as needed
  • Filing / Digitization of Finance documents as needed
What You Bring:
  • 5 years' or more experience in working in accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, payroll and payroll reports
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting policies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • A solid understanding of, and experience in, QuickBooks is a MUST
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
  • Experience with bookkeeping for a staffing agency or professional services firm preferred
