As a Marketing Intern, you will be responsible for providing support to the Marketing team. You may be asked to help with one or more activities pertaining to public relations, customer service, B2B marketing, our direct-to-consumer channel, email marketing, content development, and/or project management.
GENERAL MARKETING SUPPORT RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct initial market research to help better understand competitive landscape
Review and provide revisions / recommendations for product listings on various online channels to ensure consistency and accuracy
Assist in managing projects / setting timelines between marketing and creative team
CUSTOMER SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Respond to product and company inquiries and issues submitted through Zendesk, Expert Voice, Bazaarvoice and Amazon Answers pertaining to sales orders, damage claims, and returns/exchanges, etc.
Use sound judgement to filter and forward inquiries to appropriate internal departments for further assistance
Communicate with customers promptly, concisely and informatively with the appropriate brand voice
Resolve problem tickets submitted to Zendesk in a timely, professional manner: changes, corrections, add-ons/deletions, etc.
PUBLIC RELATIONS RESPONSIBILITIES
Review journalist queries and pitch products for relevant stories
Assist with holiday gift guide pitching and placements
Assist with 2019 PR strategy

Excellent spoken and written English, additional language(s) a plus
Ability to assimilate data and information to answer customer queries
Capability to complete tasks with speed and accuracy
Excellent communication, problem-solving and research skills

Currently working toward a degree in communications, public relations, or similar.
Own laptop or personal computer available for use during the internship.
Interest in renewable energy/sustainability.
Prior experience with Zendesk customer service platform a plus.
Experience with Google tools a plus.
