Bachelor's degree in Economics, Management, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, a related field or equivalent practical experience.
3 years of relevant work experience. 1 year of experience in an analyst role.
Experience working with SQL and datasets.
Experience extracting insights from data and presenting it to audiences.
Master's degree in Economics, Management, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field.
Experience in managing full project lifecycle from issue identification to solution and deployment.
Proficiency in a language for statistical computing (R, Python, Stata, etc.).
Proficiency in at least one data visualization tool or platform.
About the job
You will work within the Central Cloud Finance team, a newly-formed team responsible for managing a large portion of Google Cloud cost baseline known as non-Payroll Operating Expenses (OpEx).
As an Analyst, your work will be used by Finance, Sales and Product leaders to make strategic decisions around funding and organization-wide priorities. You will be tasked with running financial planning and allocation cycles, developing forecasts and efficiency models. You will be creating and maintaining organization-wide reporting infrastructures, approving spend and investigating spend drivers. You will gather insights into spend and budget consumption patterns across teams, synthesize and deliver them via concise presentations.

Responsibilities
Create, design and maintain reusable datasets with appropriate architecture to deal with high level of data complexity. Create dashboards and reports to surface data for different stakeholders.
Provide analytical decision-making support for key projects. Research new ways of modeling data to unlock actionable insights or improve processes.
Devise and run forecasting models and scenario analyses. Drive insights and analysis and shape business strategy in partnership with Cloud Finance leadership.
Leverage technical expertise to provide quantitative analysis around cost drivers and budget consumption trends. Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance.
Liaise and interact with other Sales Finance, Product and Sales Operations teams to assure strategic and analytical alignment as well as data consistency and efficiency. Contribute to the development of the analytical frameworks, tools, skills and culture for the team and wider organization. Manage and assist with various ad-hoc projects.
