General Purpose of Position:

Qualifications:
- Must have or be able to obtain a PCQI certificate within 90 days of employment
- 2-3 years of QA experience in a food manufacturing facility
- Must have excellent communication skills and be able to interface with all levels
- Must be a self-starter
- Working Conditions: Position may require walking/standing for long periods; reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting
- Reliability a must
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- This position requires a great deal of attention to detail with a very high level of work accuracy and the ability to stay on task with minimal supervision
- Proficient with computers with an extensive understanding of Microsoft applications (word, excel, and power point)
- Multitask with minimal supervision
- Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner

- Spanish speaking a plus
- Address and resolve complex issues
- Ability to oversee, manage and maintain documentation
- Internal auditor skills a plus
Responsibilities:
- Perform ATP testing on production equipment daily, download weekly.
- Be observant of surroundings, alert for individual(s) or situations, report immediately to Assistant Quality Manager.
- Create retain containers.
- Challenge preventive control and document.
- Review Pre-Ops and line equipment daily, sign off when approved to start.
- Perform allergen testing.
- Daily inspections ensuring ingredients, packaging material, and boxes are covered or inverted.
- Review allergens for proper storage placement and/or allergen color code identification.
- Verify labels, best by dates, weight checks, ingredients, lot codes, brand names are documented accurately.
- Assist with in-house laundry.
- Overseeing preventive control is challenged by Crew Leads daily, documented, sign of as PCQI.
- Report Quality or Food Safety issues to Assistant Quality Manager.
- Perform COA Validation, COC Verification, Quality testing such as consistometer, organoleptic, Aw, and pH.
- Inspect facility for food safety issues and hazards.
- Verify foreign material devices are working.
- Enforce GMP’s.
- Verify packaging is removed after change overs.
- Oversee mixing and clean rooms are kept clean and floors dry.
- Assist with internal audits, quality issues, food safety issues.
- Oversee non-conforming product or equipment.
- Perform weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly duties.
- Create Hold and Non-Conforming documentation.
- Assist in mock recalls.
- Other duties relating to Quality

-Work Schedule: Full Time 40 hours. Monday-Wednesday 12 hour shift, Thursday 4 hour shift

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
