Outside Sales Representative

Location: Fargo/Moorhead Area - Home Office

Xigent Solutions is growing and has a unique opportunity in the Fargo/Moorhead area for a self-motivated sales professional to fill an Outside Sales Representative position.

This role is responsible for driving business development activities designed to increase market penetration and revenue for all our offerings including IT storage sales, managed services, and strategy service solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience selling Storage, Backup and the Data Center environment including Hybrid Cloud, Cloud Connected Storage, Virtualization, and Cloud Data Management, to clients in a variety of verticals. They will possess a hunter mentality, and a drive to build client relationships and close deals.

This position requires a strong work ethic, solid communication skills, the ability to understand customer business problems, and explain the business value of Xigent Solutions portfolio of offerings. This role acts as the initial point of contact for new customers and will be responsible for engaging the appropriate technical resources to determine the best solution to solve the customer’s business problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospect for new accounts and drive new business development in the Fargo/Moorhead area
  • Leverage social and professional networks to identify and develop relationships within target accounts
  • Monitor and mediate all necessary communication between customer, vendor, and technical resources within each account
  • Build strong relationships with customers and become their trusted adviser
  • Be timely and responsive to all customer quotes & inquiries
  • Constantly improve knowledge of Xigent Solutions offerings
  • Attend networking events
  • Plan and execute joint sales activity with key technology partners
  • Accurately build and maintain opportunity pipeline in CRM
  • Collaborate with Solution Architects and Service Delivery Managers on solutions for your clients
  • Learn and follow Xigent Solutions Customer Centric Sales Process
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years’ experience in account management, managed services, or solution selling
  • Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills; able to communicate effectively with a wide range of clients, business partners and team members
  • Experience in Storage, Backup and the Data Center environment including Hybrid Cloud, Cloud Connected Storage, Virtualization, and Cloud Data Management
  • Demonstrated ability to speak credibly about cloud-connected storage, PaaS and IaaS
  • Experience successfully selling into technical user base including CIOs, CTOs, Cloud Architects, Application Owners, DevOps, SaaS Admins, and VP-level IT/Infrastructure buyers
  • Self-starter who is eager to engage and prospect buyers anywhere they are - phone, social media, email or in person
  • Ability to self-manage by creating personal initiatives & metrics to drive success
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to ask insightful questions
  • Willingness to travel within assigned territory, on short notice, as needed
