Microsoft Healthcare is looking to hire a Business Development Manager. This person will be responsible for supporting Microsoft Healthcare’s BD and strategy efforts with large national healthcare providers, payers and life science companies.
Key responsibilities include interfacing with internal legal counsel on BAAs, collaboration agreements, term sheets, NDAs and contracts. The candidate will need to be comfortable driving financial modeling of large and complex deals, develop of IP constructs, and working on entirely new commercial constructs.
This role will require someone comfortable leading due diligence activities in advance of key meetings, agenda creation, and capturing meeting notes and then coordinating follow-up activities. In addition, the right candidate will be comfortable helping the team complete targeted market analysis and research activities, in particular market sizing, and value creation analysis.
The ideal person enjoys solving complex problems, can conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses, and works effectively with cross-functional teams in an environment that is constantly evolving.
The Microsoft Healthcare strategy team is a small, tight-knit team who values authentic, strong willed individuals that actively seek out opportunities to deliver measurable value and help our group achieve its vision.
Act as the BD interface with internal and external legal counsel around NDAs, BAAs, multi-party research collaborations, term sheet preparation, LOIs, MOUs, and definitive agreements.
Financial modeling, development of IP models, creation of new commercial constructs.
Provide meeting due-diligence work in advance of specific meetings and events, including development of BD target list, advance briefing materials, agenda creation, and in-meeting note taking and coordination of follow-up activities.
Lead targeted market sizing and value creation analysis.
Provide limited competitive market intelligence deliverables, as directed by needs of healthcare team.
Do you have 5+ years in business development, business analysis, strategic consulting, product planning, or market research?
Do you have experience using quantitative skills to create insights and solve problems?
Do you have the ability to deliver high quality work, on time, given multiple competing priorities?
Do you have experience working in a matrixed organization, where collaboration and indirect leadership skills are required?
Do you have a minimum of BA/BS?
Experience working on market sizing, development of new business models, and leading financial analysis (including creation of NPV analyses).
Past history working on Intellectual Property issues, in particular an understanding of licensing.
Experience working in healthcare, life sciences or healthcare IT companies.
