What is a Copywriter?

As the Copywriter, you will work directly and collaboratively with members of the creative team and business partners to develop and produce effective communications. The Copywriter ensures a consistency of voice and tone across all media within a brand, while also continuing to develop the messaging structure in support of the brand. The copywriter will report directly to the Creative Director.

A Day in the Life of a Copywriter:
Write exceptional, creative copy based on brand standards, analytical research and a deep understanding of multiple target audiences
Conceptualize and write engaging marketing copy across multiple media including brand, print collateral, email marketing campaigns, public relations and digital marketing (e.g., SEO, banner ads, and landing pages)
Keeps up with popular culture and current copy/creative trends
Monitor the performance of content across channels, reporting on impact against KPIs including traffic, search rankings and audience engagement
Leverage data to test, optimize, and report on success of copy across marketing campaigns
Consult with project owners and other sources who may contribute to or define the requirements for the development of copy
Brainstorms with team to develop marketing ideas.
Documents creative strategy and effectively presents rationale and ideas to clients.

What You Will Need to Have:
7+ years of writing experience, with Entertainment, Food & Beverage, and Retail experience preferred.
Both advertising agency and brand experience preferred
Demonstrates experience with national advertising or marketing campaigns annual reports, broadcast, print and web.
Direct Mail and/or web experience required within any industry.
Brings processes, technology or people solutions to the table with regard to the creative process.
Working knowledge of MS office suite, Adobe InDesign/InCopy and Acrobat required.
Superior-level of accuracy and attention to detail and editing skills
Must be flexible and able to maintain a heavy workload and juggle simultaneous deadlines
Ability to communicate and work as a team player
4 year college degree preferred
