Leading to OpenText Documentum & Captiva Technical Architect
The candidate will be responsible to support and develop reports in Formscape from Bottomline and scanning process in Captiva from OpenText. He/She will be involved in troubleshooting and fixing the issues in existing deployment and new deployment.
The candidate will be involved in new development on information gathering, designing the layout, template creation based on the end-user requirements, testing and deployment. The candidate should possess some hands-on experience in any programming language. He/She should have basic understanding and knowledge on Operation System, Scripting, HTML, XML, RDBMS, SQL and Web Designing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ability to troubleshoot and solve issues encountered in deployment
Works with users in information gathering to solve the issues as well as for the new development
Works together with architects assigned to a project(s)
Collect operational documents, Design document layout and template format
Create templates in FormScape together with business logic and customer data
Ensure that the formatting in templates are retained throughout the production and distribution cycle
Testing and deploying the templates in FormScape
A good understanding of solutions from a technical perspective
Demonstrated successful systems implementation
Experienced in Windows and VB development
Experienced in time critical production environments
The candidate should possess strong and sound knowledge on MS Office
Basic Scripting, HTML and SQL syntax
Extreme familiarity with PC operations
An intermediate understanding of the following areas is highly desirable:
Relational databases such as Oracle or DB2 or SQL Server
Application server based application
The ability to quickly understand the overall business requirements, to analyse the business processes, and to design document solutions to support the business need.
Initiative and good interpersonal skills
Programming Fundamentals such as knowledge on if-then-else, while and for loops, etc on at least one programming language (Java, .NET VB, C etc …)
Preferably experienced in Formscape from Bottomline
Preferably experienced in Captiva from OpenText
Strong testing knowledge
Logistics business knowledge will be helpful
This position will progress to the selected candidate becoming an ECM Architect. The company will provide internal training on OpenText Documentum, Captiva and related products. The selected candidate will be trained, mentored and groomed to support a global deployment and provide new functionality & features in the software application.
5-6 years of experience in software development
S. in Computer Science from reputed university
Strong verbal and written English skills
Ability to read, analyse, and interpret general business periodicals.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to walk and use hand and eye coordination. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK HOURS AND ENVIRONMENT
Normal working hours for this position are Monday-Friday, however, working beyond these days might be required by business needs.
