Cambridge is seeking an experienced Nursing Student Success Coordinator.
The Nursing Student Success Navigator supports the academic success, engagement, and retention of nursing students in the ASN Program. This position focuses on providing personalized guidance, addressing academic needs and fostering a supportive environment to help students reach their fullest academic potential. The Navigator works collaboratively with faculty and student support services to ensure that nursing students have access to the resources they need from enrollment to graduation, aiming to support all students in passing the NCLEX exam on their first attempt.
Program Responsibility on Student Success Coordination
- Define students at risk of failing in courses and /or program dismissal.
- Identify students at risk in course-level and program-level.
- Track academic progression of students at risk.
- Design success plan for remediation of students at-risk.
- Create a ‘contract’ for completing remediation material with identified students.
- Hold weekly student meetings (live or remote) for at-risk students during the semester.
- Develop remediation plan for students scoring 80% or lower on course exams in all cohorts.
- Develop a remediation plan for students who achieve an ATI Content Mastery Series (CMS) Level 1 or lower result on first and second attempt in all cohorts.
- Collaborate with classroom instructors to promote student success.
- Monitor progress of re-admission students through email and regularly scheduled meetings to support student success.
NCLEX Success Coordination
- Track Graduates for NCLEX Seating and Pass rates
- Analyze ATI CMS exams results for all cohorts
- Analyze trends in data to improve cohort/individual performance
- Track Virtual ATI (VATI) engagement of every student/graduate
- Coordinate with VATI coach on student engagement and NCLEX readiness
- Post updated weekly NCLEX Reports and files for administration review
- Complete weekly graduate outreach via phone call or face to face meetings until NCLEX-RN licensure is obtained by every graduate
- Review licensure applications and “issues” for board applicants to help them get applications in a timely manner.
- Order and assign vouchers for Pearson Vue.
- Send names of graduates to Georgia BON.
Curriculum and Instruction
- Teach (fill in) if needed in the classroom, lab, or simulation.
- Implement evidence based educational techniques to promote student success on exams, including the NCLEX-RN.
- Provide relevant data- ATI CMS results, trends, and outcomes of remediation at curriculum meetings and program review – to find gaps in content or areas needing improvement in classroom content.
- Assist in completing systematic plan of evaluation with faculty based on ACEN standards and criteria.
Job Requirements (Applicants who do not meet the minimum requirements will not be considered)
- MSN prepared graduate from a nationally accredited institution that is recognized by the DOE evidenced by transcripts/credentials.
- Minimum of 1 year of teaching experience
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience
- Evidence of experience with student NCLEX success
- Possess a current and non-restricted GA Nursing license.
