Texas Tech University invites applications for a full-time position as Lecturer of Spanish. The appointment will be for one year, beginning August 18th, 2021.
The teaching load is the equivalent of four courses per semester. Required qualifications include a Masters degree in Spanish or a related field with at least 18 graduate hours in Spanish. Must demonstrate interest and excellence in teaching Spanish language and culture at the college level, a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion, and the ability to produce creative, innovative pedagogical materials. Experience teaching online a plus. Native or near-native fluency in Spanish is required. Duties include the promotion of Spanish on campus. Service to the department, college, and university is expected.
Graduate degree in the teaching discipline or a closely aligned field. Ability to teach effectively. Job assignment is full-time instruction. This position will be classified as Security Sensitive and require a criminal background check if selected for employment.
