Product Manager – OfficeSuite Unified Communications

The Product Manager will provide product direction through an ongoing assessment of current offerings, pricing, promotions and positioning. The Product Manager will own the entire product lifecycle and user experience and will develop and evaluate opportunities for new products and/or product line extensions, product line consolidations and end of life activities; and identify new target markets and related strategies. This person will work in a matrix organization to create, evaluate and implement new product initiatives / enhancements and process improvements under the title of Senior Analyst - Marketing reporting to the Principal – OfficeSuite UC® Product Manager. The product manager is also responsible for supporting sales and process improvement initiatives as well as supporting specific sales efforts.

Job Description:
Manage, promote, direct and control product line including a deep understanding of what is required to sell, install, bill and support the products and programs under management
Coordinate with Product Marketing to identify competitive targets for research
Maintain SWOT analysis relative to competition, positioning, and pricing
Assist with competitive analysis including the assessment of competitive service offerings and the analysis of relative positioning and customer differentiators
Evaluate and leverage industry trends to promote product segment growth and/or cost optimization and increase market share
Product Management
Manage the product lifecycle. Develop, execute, and maintain product and product family business plan that provides current market information, including sales and gross profit margin history, year-to-date (YTD) actual and projections, key market positioning, sales channel and competitive strategies, pricing, market share, product life cycle plans, and evolution plans
Establish product line direction for existing products develop product line extension and additional target markets - maintain a product and market roadmap
Provide product training to the organization as required in addition to input into the training department. Write and maintain product documentation of the product line.
Regularly track revenue, margin and product performance metrics and design, propose and execute methods to increase both. Report on KPI’s for the product line.
Coordinate with Marketing to design and implement promotions for identified product
Drive product process optimization efforts to shorten the opportunity to revenue cycle times and improve user experience
Initiate measures of product cost containment and cost reduction (due diligence with technology, engineering, operations and support among others)
Regularly analyze and report Customer Satisfaction results and drive initiatives to increase the net promoter score
Product Development
Evaluate industry trends to identify target product development activities
Create product requirements documentation and business cases for new product initiatives
Coordinate with multiple departments to refine the product requirements and business model as the development cycle progresses
Work interdepartmentally with the help of the Product Developers to execute product development cycle for new products
Project manage initiatives. Deliver product line changes on time and within budget. Oversea technical trials, run and manage market trials.
Negotiate agreements with suppliers
Perform as a subject matter expert on sales calls

Education and Experience:
College degree and 3-5 years professional level experience with 1+ year supervisory experience for supervisory roles; or 7+ years professional level related experience with 1+ year supervisory experience for supervisory roles; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related experience required.Desired Qualifications: Knowledge of wireline/wireless products; market research methodologies; current and emerging technologies.

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and technical/professional experience
Experience working in an Agile development process using lean startup principles
3+ years of product marketing experience in telecommunications, contact center or a related technical industry, with particular expertise in business to business products and services required
Product experience in Telecom and/or related technology highly desirable
Experience in a call center environment highly desirable
Experience in packaging and bundling product offerings
Demonstrated aggressive, persuasive, and creative problem solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, organization and time-management skills
Expert use of word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and email software
