The Team Lead-Field Operations position will be responsible for leading the installation and removal of various sized jobs for events such as festivals, movie productions, private and corporate events.
Essential functions
- Supervises employees in the timely installation and removal of tents and equipment, including rented accessories, for all specified events.
- Receives and executes instructions from Field Managers and Dispatchers.
- Supervises and works with tent crew and warehouse support with pulling/loading tents & related equipment.
- Follows checklists used for both set up of jobs and tear downs.
- Ensures truck is loaded properly before and after events.
- Determines final tent or event plan and confirms measurements as per paperwork.
- Communicate with crew on final job details and expectations.
- Communicate with customers via phone call or text message on the estimated time of arrival and when the job is completed.
- Reports any changes requested by customers on site to Field Managers and Sales Operations
- Fills out paperwork and obtains signatures after set ups and take downs. Reports missing equipment to management and customer.
- Works with warehouse management and crew to ensure that all equipment is returned properly to assigned locations.
- Participates in, supports, and assists with training of all field staff on the safe usage of tent installation machinery and equipment, as well as other products and services offered.
- Assists with assuring that all company vehicles, machinery, and rental products are maintained in a safe and clean condition for operation.
- Provides great customer service and effectively resolves customer disputes.
- Complies with all government safety requirements and applicable laws, rules, and regulations.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

- Supports and assists with maintaining the necessary number of labor hours needed for jobs.
- Participates in and supports training of all field staff on safely using all installation machinery and equipment.
- Supervises timely completion of installations and takedowns.
Work environment:
- Often works in outdoor environments and in all weather conditions such as heat and cold.
- May occasionally work in the warehouse or other indoor environment that does not have heat or air conditioning.
- Often wears safety attire when in the warehouse, such as vests, masks, gloves, etc.
- May work in close proximity to other people.
- May be exposed to loud or distracting sounds or noise levels.
Educational, Technical and Computer Skills:
- Rental software or Warehouse management system knowledge and experience.
- Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel knowledge and experience.
- Experience driving 16’ and 24’ trucks.
- CDL preferred but not required.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Two years of supervisory experience in warehouse or delivery roles.
- Position will involve driving trucks; must be able to provide a valid Driver’s License and a clean DMV record without major infractions (DUI's, suspensions, etc.)
- Able to pass a background check, DOT pre-employment physical and a pre-employment drug test.
Preferred Experience:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.
- Technical ability; experience with computers and software knowledge.
- Driver/route experience. CDL is good, but not necessary.
- Construction or other outdoor field work experience.
- Three years tent-installation experience.
- Bi-lingual or ability to speak Spanish a plus.
Physical demands:
- Often work in indoor environments that do not have heat or air conditioning, such as a warehouse.
- May occasionally work in the warehouse or other indoor environment that do not have heat or air conditioning.
- May wear safety attire such as hard hats.
- Must be able to lift approximately 20-40 lbs. consistently; up to 70 lbs. occasionally.
- May be exposed to loud or distracting sounds or noise levels.
Travel required:
- Daily, to and from job sites.
- Personal and company vehicles (trucks).
