Central State Hospital (CSH) is a 270 bed Joint Commission accredited public psychiatric facility. The hospital serves individuals who are civilly committed and in need of treatment, and/or individuals involved in the criminal justice system who need treatment and/or pre-trial evaluation.
Central State Hospital is seeking a qualified Behavior Support Team Coach to provide acute, comprehensive and applicable psychological diagnostic evaluation; multi-model psychotherapeutic intervention; and psychological consultation concerning diagnostic and treatment issues.
Duties include, but are not limited to, developing staff training efforts relevant to psychological theory and practice in order to enhance patient care; consultation programs that provide comprehensive functional assessments and develops, trains, and assists with implementation of behavior plans; and development of psychosocial programming based on sound psychological theory and practice.
The selected candidate must have the ability to implement basic behavioral principles.
Must have experience working in the clinical field.
Must have proficiency working with individuals with all levels of intellectual disability, to include severe and profound, and with individuals who have significant impairment related to symptoms of autism spectrum disorder and/or developmental abilities.
Must possess the ability to mentor, coach, and support a multidisciplinary team to implement behavioral strategies.
Must be able to acquire and maintain the Registered Behavior Technician certification within 6 months of employment through the Behavior Analysis Certification Board.
An extensive criminal history background investigation, employment references and drug testing will be conducted.
