Description

 SAIC is seeking an exceptional leader to support potential capability shortfalls associated with countering improvised explosive devices (C-IED) in Africa.  Under this Statement of Work, SAICshall provide C-IED and Improvised Explosive Device-Defeat (IED-D) training, mentoring services, and equipment, with emphasis on C-IED and IED-D, in order to enable Troop Contributing Country (TCC) units to form trained route clearance platoon (RCPs). These RCPs shall be capable of conducting route clearance operations that strengthen the force protection across multiple countries across the continent, as well as strengthen capabilities to secure main supply routes (MSR). The intent of this requirement is to create an enduring capability across Africa that they can build upon and be prepared to provide expanded assistance to additional countries in the future.

Project Manager:
Â

 The Project Manager shall bear ultimate responsibility for ensuring that all work required under a task order is performed satisfactorily. The Project Manager shall serve as the U.S. government’s primary in-country point of contact for all technical matters pertaining to a task order. The Project Manger serves as leader for all staff on a task order, and mentors employees, identifies possible problem areas, priorities and deadlines. The Project Manager assures timely delivery of quality work products and services associated with accounting and financial systems, budget control, and financial management functions. The Project Manager serves as coach, facilitator and/or negotiator in coordinating team initiatives and in consensus building activities among team members. The Project Manager reports to the Program Manager, Deputy Program Manager and provides updates on project activities, and is responsible for compiling data deliverables for submission to the appropriate U.S. government entities.Â

Qualifications

Education & Experience:
Â

·   At least two (2) years of directly related project manager experience relevant to task order requirements and program objectives.

Â

·   Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

   Must be fluent in FrenchÂ

Â

·   Directly related experience operating and living in areas with limited life cycle support in hardship conditions.Â

Â

·   Minimum of five (5) years demonstrated C-IED, IED-D and EOD practical and Management experience to include DoS or DoD contracts, preferably in support of a C-IED, IED-D and/or EOD programs. (Experience can be military, civilian, or contractor, or a combination of the three).

·   Demonstrated prior professional experience requiring strong interpersonal and team building skills.

Â

·   Demonstrated prior professional experience requiring Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Â

·   Demonstrated prior professional experience requiring strong MS Suite skills: Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.

Â

·   Demonstrated prior professional experience requiring briefing both internal and external customers.

Â

·   Demonstrated prior professional experience with the U.S. Department of State, U.S. Department of Defense, or other Government contracting agencies.
