Bechtel is embarking on an organizational transformation called the Digital Enterprise Program (DEP) which is designed to redefine the company from a departmental, document-centric, and functional/disciplined EPC execution to an integrated data centric, and Total Installed Cost (TIC) optimized EPC execution model. The focus of DEP is the transformation of Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) work process, tools, roles and responsibilities to support the transfer of trust and authority of information from documents to data resulting in a step change in project performance (craft time on tools).
The OCM (Organizational Change Management) Digital Transformation Manager is responsible for delivering digital transformation initiatives in support of the DEP program. The primary focus will be on the people side of the digital transformation, including the creation and sustainment of DEP change management strategy and methodology that maximizes employee understanding, adoption, engagement and resiliency to change.
Detailed responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Identify organizational design improvements and efficiencies through the revisions of organization structure and design, roles, responsibilities and business processes.
Identify all stakeholders who will be affected by the change;
Understand the impact of these changes on each stakeholder group and the potential risks for adoption of the new solution;
Assess people related risks and develop related mitigation strategies;
Develop change management strategies and detailed change management plans for the digital change initiative – focused on tools and processes to enable a digital, user centric approach to adopting new technologies, processes and ways of working
Execute the change management plans by managing change management activities across various digital transformation initiatives;
Identify adoption metrics, monitor change progress and analyze the impact of solutions to enable change;
Provide organizational change management support at time of implementation and develop new approaches and resistance management plans as required to deal with adoption obstacles which may arise;
Evaluate the effectiveness of change management strategies and tactics used to promote adoption (including feedback mechanisms to enable continuous improvements of change methodology);
Support the development of a post implementation reinforcement plan to increase the level of adoption of the new solution;
Develop employee and team member communications relating to all aspects of the change plans and implementation.
Partner with OCM Learning & Development and Communications teams to develop and implement applicable OCM strategies.
Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Psychology, Organizational Change Management, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field with a 15+ years related Organizational Change Management or Business Transformation experience with increasing responsibility over time or 19 years overall OCM experience in lieu of degree
5+ years of OCM experience focusing on digital transformations, participating in a minimum of 2 full life cycle transformations
