Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled IT Project Manager to lead our project teams in delivering exceptional results on time and within budget. We consider the IT Project Manager to be perhaps the most valuable person on the team because they facilitate delivery of value to the client, help understand the real needs and requirements, help design the solution, see the big picture but can drill down into the details, obliterate obstacles that stand in the way of delivery, maintain morale among the team, keep the client happy, and handle tough conversations with tact and poise. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing Drupal-based projects, a deep understanding of federal government contracts, and a proven track record in Agile project management. Outstanding written and communication skills and high emotional intelligence. Excellent judgement. Web-savvy, tech-savvy, friendly, and understanding.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the planning and implementation of IT projects from inception to completion.
- Manage day-to-day operational aspects of multiple projects, including scope, timelines, resources, and budget.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Coordinate with technical leads and developers to ensure that the Drupal solutions meet or exceed federal standards and client expectations.
- Monitor and report on project progress, issues, and risks to stakeholders and senior management.
- Ensure compliance with federal contract requirements and manage all documentation related to project deliverables and milestones.
- Collaborate with the procurement and legal teams to navigate federal contracting processes and requirements.
- Mentor and support project team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
- Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and/or university degree or certificate in project management.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management, with at least 2 years managing Drupal projects.
- Strong familiarity with the Agile methodology and certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or PMI-Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) are highly desirable.
- Experience in managing federal government IT projects, with a good understanding of government contracting processes.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required due to federal government contract requirements.
