FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN YOUR DISQUALIFICATION.The Division of Family and Child Health (DFCH) of the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene is charged with the creation and oversight of programs, policies, services, and environments that support physical and socio-emotional health, and promote primary and reproductive health services, health equity, social justice, safety and well-being for New York City families and children. The Division is comprised of the Bureau of Maternal Infant and Reproductive Health, the Bureau of Early Intervention, the Office of School Health, and the Bureau of Administration. The Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) Program within the Bureau of Maternal, Infant and Reproductive Health is a nationally replicated nurse home visiting program that has been rigorously evaluated for over 30 years & has demonstrated significant improvements in pregnancy outcomes, parenting skills and family self-sufficiency. The NFP program began in NYC in 2003. It is currently in all five boroughs and is the largest urban site in the nationDUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO: --Maintain ETO (web based information system) data. --Track and prepare reports for TCM Medicaid billing & TANF certifications. --Prepare reports and compile data as requested. --Organize and maintain filing system for client charts, including ensuring that they are locked at the end of every business day. --Organize and maintains a system for NFP handouts, facilitators, and other written materials. --Prepare handouts and other written materials for program presentations. --Answer and properly direct all calls and faxes from the public to appropriate program staff. --Maintain inventory of NFP specific equipment and client incentives, and order supplies and incentives for the team. --Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPPA regulations. --Assist Team Supervisor on special projects and as needed.

Minimum Qual Requirements

1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and three years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience, one year of which must have been in an administrative capacity or supervising staff performing clerical/administrative work of more than moderate difficulty; or 2. An associate degree or 60 semester credits from an accredited college and four years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience including one year of the administrative supervisory experience described in "1" above; or 3. A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and five years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience including one year of the administrative supervisory experience as described in "1" above; 4. Education and/or experience equivalent to "1", "2", or "3" above. However, all candidates must possess the one year of administrative or supervisory experience as described in "1" above. Education above the high school level may be substituted for the general clerical/administrative experience (but not for the one year of administrative or supervisory experience described in "1" above) at a rate of 30 semester credits from an accredited college for 6 months of experience up to a maximum of 3 years.

Residency Requirement

New York City residency is generally required within 90 days of appointment. However, City Employees in certain titles who have worked for the City for 2 continuous years may also be eligible to reside in Nassau, Suffolk, Putnam, Westchester, Rockland, or Orange County.
