I. JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:
Under limited supervision, plans therapeutic diets in accordance with physician's diagnoses and requirements of regulatory agencies. Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary health care team to implement nutrition care plans.
Bachelor's Degree and Registered Dietitian
No experience required. Three to five years of experience as a Dietitian preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of assigned specialty area: diagnostics, classification, treatment and ability to apply same on an individual basis to patient(s).
- Skill in data analysis and interpretation.
- Ability to exercise independent thought, judgment, decision-making and flexibility.
Licensures, Certifications
- Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration and licensed with the State of Maryland. Work requires successful completion of 15 American Dietetic Association accredited CEUs in previous year.
- Maintain Registration through the Commission on Dietetics and Licensure through the State of Maryland.
Occasionally lifts and or moves up to 25 lbs without assistance.
- Normal office environment with little exposure to unpleasant conditions.
- Occasional (less than ten percent of work time) exposure to contagious disease or infection
