Events managers are in charge of shaping, planning and executing some of Google's highest profile events nationwide. As a member of the team, you work closely with the B2B and B2C Marketing teams to manage strategic programs, find creative solutions to projects and help connect users and clients to our products and technologies. You oversee all aspects of event management and production from content and program development, design, AV production, vendor management, logistics, invitations, sponsorships, promotions and more. Not only do you help conceptualize and produce events, but you also come full circle to use your analytical skills to conduct post-event reporting and ROI analysis to measure your programs for effectiveness. Your organizational skills, project management skills and creative flair all find their place in this role.

As a member of the team, you work on Google’s crucial, hyper local, community based, nationally driven Grow with Google initiative. Launched in 2017, Grow with Google equips Americans with the skills they need to connect with, and succeed in, the jobs of today and in the future. It helps people prepare for jobs with computer literacy training, find jobs using Search, and grow their businesses with Google products and training. By inspiring communities, engaging influencers, and activating community organizations like trade/industry orgs, public libraries, and school districts, we can drive meaningful change.

Your job will be to create an authentic, localized experiences that are community, multigenerational, purposeful events which show how Google can help them prepare for their now and their future. You are a strategic thinker and an exceptional project manager with strong organization and problem solving skills, who is able to creatively develop and execute an effective national event marketing strategy with a hyper localized focus.

Work alongside Grow with Google’s Marketing Director and Local Activation team to develop a comprehensive experiential marketing strategy.
Lead a team of Googlers and contractors; oversee all aspects of event production including: content integration and program development, design, brand adaptation and application, AV production, vendor management, logistics, invitations, catering, security, transportation, travel logistics, evening events, signage, and staffing.
Manage event budget, calendar management and research for prospective and actual projects.
Analyze programs for effectiveness; conduct post-event reporting and growth/effectiveness analysis.
Interact with and manage multiple vendors, partners, company executives and a wide range of functional groups within Google as well as external partners. Work alongside creative, media and partnerships team to drive local promotion, social media activation, and registration.

Minimum qualifications:
8 years of experience in an Events Marketing Management in a similar event management role.
Ability to work non-standard hours and differing work rotations/shifts as required (including working on holidays and shift rotations).
Ability to travel as required.

Preferred qualifications:
BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
Ability to strategize at a high-level, supported by applicable tactics.
Ability to motivate teams and agencies/vendors to operate effectively.
Effective strategic foresight, budget management, consultation and organizational skills.
Self-motivated, articulate with excellent communication, leadership and project management skills.
