A well-designed network is critical to move data and enable warfighters to achieve their mission. But how can an organization make sure their network will fit their current and evolving needs? Crafting the right network, with the right equipment and software, requires a combination of technical skill and careful planning. That’s why we need you, a network engineer who knows how to craft the exact network the DoD needs.
As a network engineer on our team, you’ll consult for the DoD as they work on a reliable network to support critical missions. You’ll lead a team assisting clients, SMEs, and other stakeholders with learning the warfighter operational needs that inform the network requirements. You’ll then lead the planning of acquisition, installation, configuration, and maintenance of the network components. From resolving interoperability issues across platforms to supporting the acquisition of hardware, you’ll put your hardware and software talents to good use. Experience with designing, analyzing, configuring, implementing, and troubleshooting complex network architectures
Experience with analyzing network traffic and determining root cause for network issues
Experience with managing and leading teams and communicating complex network designs with non-technical clients
Knowledge of routing protocols and the following network technologies: BGP, OSPF, RIP, MPLS, VRF, VLAN, IP Multicast, IP QoS, and IPSec
Ability to establish relationships with a diverse set of clients, teams, and industry partners
Top Secret clearance
HS diploma or GED
Nice If You Have:
Experience with leveraging tools to analyze network traffic and troubleshoot network-related performance issues
Experience with creating technical drawings
Experience with the DoD network operations and DOD network architectures
Knowledge of existing DoD network services or network implementations
Knowledge of DoD satellite communications architectures
BA or BS degree preferred
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Professional CCNP, Certification preferred
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.
