The SIOP Demand Planner will work to improve the flow of data and communication throughout the supply chain. Will act as a liason between demand side and supply side.
Globally contributes to the monthly planning meetings with Sales, Finance, Operations, Procurement, and Program Management and Plants- Will be the responsible point of contact for assigned OEMs
Contributing member for the maintenance of documentation, communication and best practice SIOP policies, processes and procedures regionally.
This position shall also be responsible for ensuring such policies and procedures are implemented and maintained in a consistent and standardized approach.
Develops strong working relationships with the other key departments to the SIOP process
Communicates to all levels of the organization in regards to SIOP issues and concerns
Tracks standard key metrics and reporting standards for SIOP Executive Review as well as to drive results and continuous improvement
Ensure the completion of a monthly analysis that identifies trends, gaps / spikes in demand, supply / demand misalignment etc.
Make recommendations and have corrections made prior to Forecast Freeze
Facilitates cross functional activities to resolve demand and supply imbalances before the operations are impacted and present potential solutions during the SIOP meeting for approval
Provide periodic feedback to supporting functional management with regard to improvements required based on inadequate monthly preparedness
Facilitate the preparation of supply and demand projections for the strategic plan and financial forecasts: 12 month and 24 month rolling foreacast
Works closely with manufacturing, materials and sales organizations- to understand constraints and provides feedback to appropriate functional teams for mitigation
Maintains working knowledge of customer program launches and customer program ramp downs
Tracks potential inventory exposure or shortages
Work extensively in SAP to prepare business reports
Is the SME (Subject Matter Expert) for the SIOP process
Other SIOP tasks upon request
Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering or related technical discipline
Excellent communication skills – written, verbal, and presentation
Team building and performance management
1+ years related supply chain management or product planning
High proficiency Microsoft applications such as Excel, Microsoft Word, Dbase, Powerpoint
Some experience in manufacturing and logistics operations processes, supply chain physics, MRPII planning systems management, strong analytical and mathematical/statistical skills required
Ability to speak, read and write Spanish fluently strongly preferred
SAP ERP expertise preferred
Data extraction and report generation experience within the SAP ERP system
Willingness to work in an office in Novi, MI
