Flagship at largest social media company is currently seeking Bread Baker Intern.

Sunday - Thursday!! 9:00pm-5:30am

You will be responsible for bread production. You will be responsible to measure and mix ingredients and bake according to recipes/guidelines. Take direction from the Pastry Chef and/or Executive Pastry Chef. Handles & manipulates product from start to finish. You will work every station on the shift including but not limited to the following tasks: mixing, shaping, baking, cleaning/sanitation, bread scheduling, and team work.

Essential Functions

  • Prepares, bakes, and packages a variety of bread, yeast and quick
  • Accommodates special needs of the guests by preparing nut free, gluten free and vegan varieties
  • Scaling of dry products according to recipe/directions
  • Shaping: pre-shape, final shape, and also scoring breads
  • Baking: work with our ovens and learn how to organize bread production
  • Bread Scheduling: work with the Chef to understand the nightly production to insure a smooth work flow
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Daily and weekly cleaning schedules
  • Responsible for food quality and production
  • Uses carts to transport dry, wet, and finished products to and from freezer/refrigerator

Knowledge and Skills

  • Baking experience is essential
  • Proficient in all aspects of production, mixing, shaping and baking
  • Has an understanding of the nature of the product

Education and Work Experience

  • Culinary Degree (preferred but not required)
  • Culinary Student 0-1 year experience
  • Schooling or comparable work experience

Job Type: Temporary

Salary: $14.50 to $15.00 /hour
