Position Summary:
Reporting directly to the Senior Director Enterprise Business Human Resources leader the Director Enterprise HRBP is the business partner to one or more of the Executive leaders of the Enterprise Business. In this role you are accountable for the architecture and execution of the overall human resources strategy for the organization you support. The Enterprise business is the core of Symantec’s product portfolio and generates in excess of $2bn per year in revenue.

In this key strategic HR role the Director HRBP partners with one or more Executive level leaders of a functional global work group. You will be part of a team of trusted advisors to key Enterprise BU Executive(s) responsible for developing the strategy and execution plan for the talent, organizational effectiveness, and culture of the organization you support. A key aspect of this role is in the virtual management and coordination of a team of international HR professionals to deliver Human resources programs and initiatives.

These groups comprise Global Enterprise Sales, Go To Market, Marketing, Customer Support, Chief Technology Office, Endpoint Product Group, Network Product Group, Cloud product group, Managed Security Service Group. The HR Business partner team provides leadership at a global HR level coordinating and collaborating with the HR Centers of Excellence including Rewards and Compensation, Talent Development and Training, Talent Acquisition, Workplace, Data Analytics, and with our Regional HR team to deliver HR services and solutions that support and enable the Enterprise business in achieving its strategic objectives.

Responsibilities:
Partners with a Global Executive and their leadership team within a specific company vertical (Products, Sales, GTM, Marketing, Engineering Product Groups etc) to drive the talent strategy for the organization
Has end-to-end HR global responsibility for that organizational group.
Owns the HR impact for the organization, builds a strong partnership with regional HR leads, and puts in place mechanisms to ensure HR team execution
Ensures the relevant HR operating mechanisms and initiatives are embedded in the partner organization. Typical operating mechanisms include: Predictive talent analytics and consulting, organizational health and talent reviews, formal and informal performance management processes
Provides metrics and data analytics regarding people and organizational dynamics to work with the organizations leadership team to develop and measure sustainable talent solutions
Understands customer trends and cyber security needs that will impact the business and our associated organization design and talent strategy
Translates current and future Enterprise business needs into an workforce plan
Collaborates with other partners and key stakeholders such as finance, operations and IT
Embraces change and organizational transformation leadership and coaches the organizations executive leaders driving and communicating change management and culture initiatives in their teams
Coaches Executives on their organization’s effectiveness including assessment structure, design, and role clarity
Provides input on/champions change to operating mechanisms to ensure relevancy to talent operations
Influences the “customer back” mindset and approach throughout organization
Coaches and leads a virtual HR team responsible for supporting or executing HR activities in the geo’s
Leads communication of employee survey results and partners with the executive team and drives action plans that guide the talent strategy
Acts as a cultural ambassador to the organization in leading and championing company culture and in driving employee engagement initiatives within the group
Responsible for embedding, sponsoring and measuring diversity and inclusion objectives and strategies into the talent mechanisms and culture of the organization
May be called upon to support M&A and divestiture activity that might impact the organization, includes organization design and integration planning

Deliverables:
Effectively diagnose and drive solutions to highly complex business, people and organizational opportunities across multiple groups within the Enterprise business
Partners with Leaders and enabling organizations (Talent, Finance, Bus Ops, etc.) to develop and execute on a strategic Workforce plan.
Leads organizational design & development efforts to support growth and shifts in strategic direction
Leads the incorporation of change leadership and organization effectiveness for major structural shifts
Conducts VP assessments and development plans including associated internal executive coaching. Coaches leaders to create similar development plans for their critical talent
Assesses Director and VP level candidates within their organizations.
Delivers captivating, persuasive messages and presentations relating to HR initiatives appropriate for audiences at all levels.

Knowledge, Experience & Capabilities:
Able to embrace the vision of Symantec being the global cyber security leader in protecting the world’s information and data and to translate this into an organizational talent strategy
Strong business acumen and knowledge of Human Resources programs and strategies (organization design, culture initiatives, training & development, talent attraction & retention, compensation & benefits).
Proven ability to lead virtual teams within a highly complex matrixed and international business environment
Experience with international Mergers & Acquisitions, divestitures and integrations beneficial
Experience of coaching principles and processes and their application within a corporate environment
Experienced in attraction, selection and assessment of talent
Bachelor’s degree and 5-8 years hands-on HR experience within a global technology company required
Capability to assess data/analytics and translate it into business insights and actions at a global organizational level
Experience in using process excellence principles, Emotional Intelligence and Systems Thinking and their application in solving complex business problems
Able to model and teach Symantec’s business and leadership models
History of innovative and creative thinking that translated into proven business results
Experienced in driving global cultural projects and talent initiatives across different demographic groups
