TITLE: Principal Fraud Strategy Management
DUTIES: Discover Products Inc. seeks Principal Fraud Strategy Management in Riverwoods, IL to support the overall effort by Corporate Security to prevent and detect fraudulent activity directed against Discover’s developing Deposit product lines. Utilize subject matter expertise on methods of money movement, design and deploy strategies to prevent criminal enterprises, organizations, and individuals from defrauding DFS customers and accounts. Create analyses and reports to be used for identification of fraud patterns and vulnerabilities used by fraudsters. Participate mitigating application and first party fraud as well as transaction risk management in early stage of account life cycle. Support fraud analysts and internal/external partners. Provide support for team goals around risk and compliance. Work with Operations Strategy teams to design and implement investigation techniques for suspicious applications, deposits, and withdrawals. Work with Fraud Infrastructure teams to identify internal and external solutions capable of elevating ID verification capabilities to the next level of sophistication. Promote a risk-aware culture, ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes.
REQUIREMENTS : Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (any) or a related field and four (4) years of experience in job offered or related position: utilizing statistical analysis techniques to validate data analysis procedures; performing root cause analysis; utilizing data analytics such as decision tree, regression analysis, and variance analysis; and performing data manipulation using MS Access, SQL and SAS.
