Summary

We are immediately seeking a talented Lead Software Quality Assurance Analyst who will share our passion for market differentiation and excellence. The Lead Software Quality Assurance Analyst will be responsible for leading small team of SW Quality Assurance Analyst as well as supporting (hands-on) testing activities of the Ziosk UI applications.

This individual will

apply proven analytical and problem-solving skills to help validate, verify, communicate, and resolve systems/software application issues through execution of automated and manual testing suites. This individual will

be asked to supply advanced subject matter knowledge to complex technical and business issues, and will be regarded as a subject matter expert.

frequently contribute to the development of new testing related ideas across all Ziosk platforms. This individual will work with QA manager to support quality vision in Ziosk’s product space.

Responsibilities

Responsible for leadership, planning, design, and deployment of effective test practices

Plan and execute both manual and automated functional and regression tests

Act as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies to increase test coverage effectiveness as well as better resource utilization

Exercise significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine best method for accomplishing testing related work and achieving objectives

Analyze product, software component modules, and features to support testing activities across multiple scrum teams

Promote and participate in cross-functional initiatives across all Ziosk platforms

Act as a champion on quality related activities for internal and external customers

Ability to operate seamlessly across teams, functions and geographies

Evaluation, analysis and reporting of test results; effective communication of status to development teams and management

Ability to coach, mentor and give guidance to Software Quality Assurance Analysts

Work closely with cross-functional Leads and Managers to achieve common quality goal

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited college or university

8+ years of software quality assurance experience

2+ years of Lead experience

Strong understanding of testing Android and mobile applications developed with native and C++ language

Strong hands-on knowledge of JSAON and REST based services

Proficiency in use of SQL and related tools

Demonstrate knowledge of various automation and manual testing Tools and techniques depending on the type of application being tested

Proven experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software testing solutions

Ability to meet individual deadlines and team goals, to manage multiple responsibilities, while focusing on priorities

Strong knowledge of system testing and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies

Proficiency in all aspects of software validation and testing methods.

Strong understanding of all phases of SDLC required and processes used in quality assurance of software programs

Experience with JIRA and Atlassian tool is preferred

Experience with Agile SCRUM methodologies and operations

Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, conflict resolution and written communication skills

Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment under deadlines in a changing environment

Ability to successfully prioritize, organize and handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously

Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently

Strong attention to detail in all facets of work

Nice to have - Knowledge of POS and retail systems integrations

Nice to have – Hands-on UI Automation experience
