The Director of Foster Care and Adoptions is responsible for providing supervision and oversight of the foster care and adoption program in Greenville, SC. The Director will provide clinical supervision and oversight to the Licensing Specialists, Recruiter and Clinical Coordinators. He/she will facilitate and coordinate best practices that maintain the highest level of safety, security and quality care for all clients in the Foster Care and Adoption Program. The incumbent will market, grow, and expand the Foster Care and Adoption program across the state, specifically across the upstate of South Carolina. The Director of Foster Care and Adoptions will be responsible for maintaining licensure as a child placing agency.
QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or counseling required. Professional License including LISW, LPC and LMFT highly desired. Five years of experience working with children in the child welfare system with two years of administrative experience in the child welfare system required. South Carolina Certified Adoption Specialist Certification required within 6 months of hire. Must become a certified NCI & TFTC within 1 year of hire. Prior experience working with a child placing agency is highly desired.

Organized with an attention to detail. Excellent communication skills in written and verbal form. Must be able to pass standard background checks including: drug screen, employment physical, FBI check, SLED, DSS Central Registry and Sex Offenders Registry. Has a belief system and engages in faith practices that are compatible with those of the United Methodist Church.
