Accounts Payable Specialist

ZYTO - Lindon, UT

Full-time | Contract

Scope of Work: Reporting to the Company Controller, the Accounts Payable Specialist performs a variety of general accounting support tasks in the accounting department.

Job Duties:

· Codes such items as invoices, expense reports, check requests, etc. with correct coding conforming to standard procedures

· Handles all vendor correspondence via phone or email

· Prepares purchase order requisitions

· Investigates and resolves problems associated with processing of invoices and purchase orders

· Prepares wire transfers and ACH transactions

· Assists with monthly reporting and closings

· Reconciles records with internal company employees and management, external vendors or customers

· Reconciles various accounts by identifying errors in posting or omissions by applying appropriate accounting standards

· Maintains files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting principles

· Performs other duties as required to support Accounting Department

Requirements:

· 2+ years accounting experience

· High School diploma required, degree in accounting preferred

· Experience with foreign currencies preferred

· Experience with NetSuite preferred

· Must have strong work ethics

· Proficient in Excel, Word, and accounting systems

· Ability to perform mathematical computations such as percentages, fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division quickly and accurately

· Strong problem solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, and data analysis skills

· Must be able to follow standard filing procedures

· Have excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task

· Be able to complete assigned tasks within defined deadlines

· Be a self-starter (take initiative to learn tasks, solve problems and take on new assignments)

· Ability to prioritize responsibilities while working efficiently to maintain individual, and business goals

· Be able to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness

· Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable

· Timely follow-up a must

· Ability to speak and write English

· Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

· Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: $35,000.00 to $40,000.00 /year
