Essential Job Functions
The Firmwide Human Resources (HR) Analyst teams with the Chief Human Resources Officer, Firmwide Associate Director of Human Resources, Senior Directors of Administration and local Human Resources to address the global HR needs, projects and objectives of the Firm’s over 2,000 non-attorney staff. The primary purpose of this position is to provide professional guidance, coordination, analysis, reporting and support in the effective and consistent application of staff compensation administration, workforce planning and performance review practices on a global basis.
Analyze competitive trends in compensation and identify the Firm’s position against market;
Participate in compensation surveys for all offices, review benchmarks annually to ensure market competitiveness and prepare and analyze survey data;
Construct salary ranges and work with local recruiters and HR departments to hire and retain staff;
Recommend annual salary alignments based on competitive market analysis;
Act in a consultative role to senior leadership, HR leads and others on simple to moderately complex issues regarding compensation programs, policies, procedures and processes;
Partner with Associate Director to construct, maintain and communicate best practices and standards for staff compensation;
Assist with the administration of the annual staff performance review process;
Track and report on workforce analytics, including open positions, budgeted positions and projected headcount needs;
Partner with Associate Director and other HR leaders to develop data analytics dashboards and reports for senior leadership and HR leads;
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education, Work Experience, Skills
Bachelor’s degree or related experience, preferably with focus in human resources, finance/accounting, statistics or business administration and 5+ years compensation/human resources experience;
Strong research, analytical, statistical and critical thinking skills;
Solid knowledge of standard compensation principles and processes;
A proven track record of maintaining confidentiality, meeting strict deadlines and maintaining a professional demeanor;
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure;
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing;
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills;
Ability to work independently and take initiative; and
Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well with as all levels of management.
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
Experience with PeopleSoft or other HRIS system. Experience running, modifying and creating queries preferred.
Experience with iManage or other document management tool
Intermediate knowledge of Sharepoint
Experience with HRSoft of other compensation tool preferred
Experience with Vi or other performance management tool preferred
Certificates, Licensures, Registrations
PHR (Professional in Human Resources) or CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) certification or related education preferred.
