As a front end developer, you’re no stranger to getting blank stares when people ask what you do for a living at parties, or between bites of pie at Thanksgiving. But we get it. You’re a fluent translator of UI/UX wireframes, creating stunning visuals with code. You’re the bridge between graphic design, layout and technical implementation. Leading the charge, you set the tone for how an application looks and interacts. Combining usability with visual design, you create optimal user experiences. Every. Time.

Specific Responsibilities

Utilize HTML, CSS, Javascript and other markup languages to create user-friendly web pages
Develop custom content in WordPress or Drupal CMS Platforms
Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
Write functional requirement documents and guides
Create reusable code and libraries for future use
Build mobile first design from wireframes
Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
Create quality mockups and prototypes
Develop new user-facing features
Maintain and improve websites for Midan and clients
Ensure all user input is validated before submitting to back-end
Collaborate with back-end developers, web designers and other team members and stakeholders
Get feedback from and build solutions for users and customers
Assist back-end developers with coding and troubleshooting
Keep up high quality graphic standards and brand consistency
Stay current on emerging technologies

Proficient understanding of:
Web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
Client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery
Cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
Code versioning tools
Version control Github, Gitllab, or BitBucket
Firm understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
Expertise in WordPress, Drupal 8 and Drupal 8 platforms
Familiarity with browser testing and debugging
In-depth understanding of the entire web development process
Clear understanding of SEO principles to ensure all applications adhere to them
Understanding of layout aesthetics
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments as needed
Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
Excellent analytical and multitasking skills

Google Analytics certification

Bachelor’s degree in Design, Computer Science or related field
