About the job
Google is seeking a director to lead the engineering teams responsible for our hybrid network connectivity product portfolio. These products form important infrastructure that enables our customers to have reliable, seamless access to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) that is well integrated into their enterprise network environment. The hybrid network connectivity area includes our Cloud Interconnect products, Virtual Private Network (VPN) product, and Cloud Router, as well as a number of unlaunched products that make it easier for our customers to connect to multiple Cloud providers, integrate with their SD-WAN, or integrate their enterprise network into Google.
We are seeking a leader who will bring a customer perspective to this portfolio, helping to rationalize the different products, ensure they are well integrated, and help build a long-term roadmap for the connectivity space that positions Google to meet our customers needs as they make their journey to hybrid cloud, and which utilizes some of our unique assets to help make Google Cloud the center of your hybrid or multi-cloud enterprise.
Google Cloud provides organizations with leading infrastructure, platform capabilities and industry solutions. We deliver enterprise-grade cloud solutions that leverage Google’s cutting-edge technology to help companies operate more efficiently and adapt to changing needs, giving customers a foundation for the future. Customers in more than 150 countries turn to Google Cloud as their trusted partner to solve their most critical business problems.
Build our hybrid network connectivity business by defining the long-term roadmap, delivering key capabilities, and working closely with customers and our field teams to help them understand and on-board to our infrastructure. Ensuring that connectivity does not become a barrier to entry for customers coming to Google Cloud.
Develop, scale and operate our hybrid connectivity infrastructure. Being deeply involved in the day-to-day operational aspects is critical as the group works in a DevOps fashion and some of our largest customers have consistently pushed our capabilities.
Collaborate closely with peers who own Google’s wide area network to ensure that as the Google Cloud connectivity business scales, our underlying infrastructure supports our customer-facing use-cases seamlessly.
